THE STORY
Melissa started designing jewellery 8 years ago, initially operating from a small room in her Perthshire home. The company travelled world wide with Melissa - at times the sales office was a friends house in Cornwall or on the road in India where inspiration came from the stunning colours of Rajasthan and the gentleness of Kerala or travelling in Africa and getting lost in the back streets of Stone Town, Zanzibar…
She is inspired by the creativity and bold use of colour seen in remote parts of the world, as well as by the soft balance found in nature. This inspiration is channelled with an intuitive and artistic eye to complement and enhance the clothes designs for each season.
The seeds of some of the most successful designs continue to be drawn from a wealth of life experiences and from the astonishing breadth of different colours, shapes and markings on the stones she finds. Always there is something new and wonderful to inspire…
